In this Mygration Christian Conference course, Daniel Montañez explores the theme of human migration through the grand narrative of Scripture.

All too often the narrative on immigration in the U.S. is dominated by politicians and the media, portraying the lives of these individuals as a highly political and divisive issue. This course offers students an alternative starting point for thinking about immigration by starting with the Bible rather than politics.

This course will set the biblical and theological foundations for understanding the narrative of immigration. By tracing the movement of people through the four-fold movement of Creation, the Fall, Redemption, and Restoration, students will come to discover that migration is the vehicle in which God uses to accomplish God's missional and redemptive purposes in our world today.

Course Objectives:

Identify the four-fold movements of the grand narrative of Scripture.
Give examples of how migration relates to the four-fold movement of the gospel.
Relate the stories of migration in the Bible to our modern world.
Interpret relevant Bible verses on immigration within the larger biblical and theological framework.
